We are located in the center of Siilinjärvi. Our address is Kuiluntie 2, 71800 Siilinjärvi. You can easily reach us by car or bus.
At Fontanella, we have 10 different pools in the spa, as well as a bowling alley, squash courts, a gym, and a private sauna.
Check the current opening hours and prices on our homepage. You can pay for your ticket using employer-provided benefits (Smartum, ePassi, or Edenred). Exercise benefits are always personal!
Yes, there are! Discounted prices are available for pensioners, students, the unemployed, and conscripts and civil service personnel. Please be prepared to prove your eligibility for the discount, for example, by showing a valid student card or a certificate issued by Kela or the Employment Office.
Children who cannot swim and those under 8 years old must be accompanied and closely supervised by a guardian/attendant who is at least 18 years old. We recommend one guardian for each child who cannot swim. Supervision must occur from within the pool, not from the poolside!
Children 9 years old and above must use the changing room that corresponds to their gender. Our staff will assist in the changing rooms if needed, but we are not responsible for customers’ belongings. Responsibility for belongings lies with the customer.
An attendant must always be an adult (of legal age). An attendant can join free of charge if the attendant mark (A) is present on the card of the person being assisted.
Children aged 13-14 can use the gym with a parent or with a permission slip (available at the front desk). Those aged 15 and above can use the gym independently. For safety reasons, the age limit for the gym access wristband is 15 years. Children under 13 are not allowed to use the gym, even with a parent or a permission slip.
Unfortunately, the ticket price does not include a towel or seat cover to sauna. You may bring your own towel and seat cover. Towels are available for rent and seat covers (biodegradable or non-plastic) are available for 0.50€ each or 2€ for 5-8 covers.
The time allowed in the area is 2 hours (2.5 hours from June to August). The time starts from when you receive the key and ends when you return it. We charge 2€ for every 30 minutes of overtime. Swimming time ends 20 minutes before closing.
Why is swimming time limited? To ensure that everyone has the opportunity to swim. Aquatic facilities are popular and can sometimes become crowded. The swimming time limit applies to everyone, and all visitors must follow the same guideline.
Taking photos or videos is not allowed in the changing rooms or pool areas of the spa.
Children who cannot swim and those under 8 years old must be accompanied and closely supervised by a guardian or attendant who is at least 18 years old. We recommend having one guardian for each child who cannot swim. Supervision must occur from within the pool, not from the poolside!
Enter deep pools only if you can swim! The spa has deep pools that are intended only for those who can swim. Deep pools are not suitable for small children or non-swimmers. Aqua jogging belts are not life-saving devices, so it’s important for those participating in aqua jogging to first learn how to swim.
Wet surfaces can be slippery. Although the floors are made with non-slip tiles, wet surfaces can still be slippery. Be especially cautious of puddles.
Behave calmly and be considerate of others in the spa. Among the visitors, there may be elderly people, those with poor vision, hearing impairments, or those who have difficulty moving. Running and making noise are not appropriate in the spa.
Exercise special caution in the pools, slides, and water activities, and follow the given instructions as well as the guidance of the pool staff. There is always lifeguard supervision and camera surveillance in the pool area.
The water slide is designed such that users accept a conscious risk of potential injury if they use or slide down the slide incorrectly. The sliding speed is affected by the user’s size and position. The weight limit for the slides is 120 kg. Detailed instructions can be found at the slide’s starting platforms and at the bottom of the stairs for the long slide.
The smaller slide in the children’s pool is intended for children under 7 years old and should be used under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
For hygiene reasons, you must wear swimwear when entering the spa area. You can use swimwear made from fabrics intended for swimming (such as Lycra). This includes swimwear with sleeves, like swim shorts or burkinis. The swimwear should not release any substances, lint, or dirt into the pool. Underwear should not be worn underneath swimwear. The swimwear should not be too revealing or loose, as this can cause dangerous situations. Swimwear should only be put on after showering, not beforehand.
Swimwear can be rented at our reception.
Hair must always be washed before entering the pool area. If you do not wish to wet your hair, you must wear a swim cap. We recommend tying up long hair. When entering the pool area, you must wash your face and remove makeup and other hygiene products from your face.
It is not possible for individuals to enter the pool area to accompany others unless they purchase a spa ticket and change into swimwear. For groups, supervisors are arranged in advance before the group enters the pool area.
Using a swim diaper in our spa is allowed but not required. You can purchase individual swim diapers at the front desk.
We primarily offer swimming lessons for children, but we also occasionally organize swimming lessons for adults. Descriptions and additional information about children’s swimming lesson groups can be found here. Additionally, we have guided gym classes and various group fitness classes (such as Pilates and fitness boxing).
If the group you are interested in is not available at the moment or is not yet being held, please contact us at (myyntipalvelu@fontanella.fi). We will consider interested parties when planning future groups.
Our teaching language is finnish. Registration is here.
The changing rooms are separated for women and men.
Children who are 9 years old and above must use the changing room that corresponds to their gender. Our staff will assist in the changing rooms if needed. We are not responsible for customers’ belongings. Responsibility for keeping belongings safe rests with the customer.
We also have a private sauna that can be reserved for personal use if needed. For booking and pricing inquiries, please contact our customer service.
Facilities may also be cleaned by a cleaner of the opposite sex, or a lifeguard of the opposite sex may enter the area, for example, in case of a disturbance. Efforts are generally made to minimize any inconvenience to customers. The cleaner performs important and skilled work to maintain a high level of hygiene, and the lifeguard is responsible for the overall safety of the swimming hall. Cleanliness, hygiene, and safety are in everyone’s best interest.
In the shower area, you will find a traditional Finnish sauna as well as a steam room. Please shower without swimwear before entering the sauna and be considerate of others when adding steam to the sauna stove.
We have discontinued the use of plastic-mixed disposable seat covers. Please bring your own seat cover when you come to the spa. You can also purchase a seat cover at our reception.
You cannot take a swimsuit into the sauna. If necessary, you can go into the sauna with a towel wrapped around you. In this case, it’s a good idea to bring two towels. If you have a blue-and-white access badge, you may wear swimwear in the sauna as well. The access badge is intended for those who require it for health reasons.
Please shower without swimwear before entering the pool area. Remember to exercise special caution, follow the provided instructions, and adhere to staff guidance in the pools, on the slides, and in other water features.
You may bring small swim toys and floaties into the area. Please rinse them in the shower before bringing them into the pool area. Personal toys and floaties are the owner’s responsibility, so keep an eye on your belongings.
Yes, it is accepted! An assistant for a person requiring special support can enter the spa free of charge if the EU Disability Card indicates personal assistance (A). Please note that the assistant must always be an adult (of legal age). The person being assisted will be charged the standard rate (free for children under 4 years old).
For hygiene reasons, bringing your own strollers or similar mobility aids into the spa facilities is not allowed.
Fontanella has one rollator, three adult shower wheelchairs, and two smaller shower wheelchairs available for loan. If you need to bring your own mobility aid, our cleaning staff will need to disinfect it before it can be used in the shower areas, so please contact us in advance. It is easiest and safest to transport babies in a safety seat in the washing and pool areas. There is a baby seat on the wall in the washing area.
For more information about mobility aids, you can inquire:

Fontanella operates year-round. Our opening hours are posted on the homepage of our website.
We are busiest on weekends and during school holidays. During holiday periods, the spa is most crowded during the first few hours of opening. Our spa has over 200 customer places. If the spa is full, we admit customers in the order of their arrival as wristbands are returned to the front desk.
The pools are typically less crowded on weekdays before 4 PM.
If you are coming with a company, organization, club, or other group, please contact us in advance. This allows us to discuss whether you are eligible for group rates and to reserve wristbands for you. We do not reserve wristbands in advance for individuals but admit customers in the order of their arrival.
You can also call us at 017 462 1200 to inquire about the current customer situation.
Unfortunately, our facility is not currently fully accessible. However, you can use the wheelchair we provide to access the wave pool via a ramp.
In our facility, you can move between floors using the elevator. There is also a bowling aid (1 unit) available at the bowling alley for assistance during bowling.
Access from the reserved sauna to the pool area is only by stairs (no elevator).
For additional information, please contact our customer service if needed.
We do not tolerate any form of harassment in our facilities, including harassment related to gender, sexuality, or appearance. If you notice any harassment or behavior that is inappropriate in a public place, please contact our staff immediately so we can address the situation promptly.
Bringing your own alcoholic beverages into our facilities is prohibited. We are a smoke-free spa, and smoking is not allowed indoors. The use of e-cigarettes is also prohibited in our facilities. Any disruptive behavior and being under the influence of drugs or medications is not allowed. Violating these rules will result in removal from our premises.
In cases of force majeure (e.g., strikes, fires, evacuations, interruptions in energy supply, technical faults, maintenance work, etc.), Fontanella is not obligated to compensate for lost service due to such events.
